HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA - May 13, 2005 - LandRoller skates ( www.landroller.com ) win top honors from among over 150 contestants for the 8th Annual Sports Edge Sports Product of the Year Award. The announcement was nationally televised today during a "live" interview (Friday, May 13, 2005) on Fox News Channel's Fox and Friends morning show in New York City.

Brian Conners, President and CEO of LandRoller stated, "We are honored to win the 2005 Sports Product of the Year award. It is gratifying to receive such a strong vote of confidence from the sporting goods industry and sports media. It has taken several years for LandRollers to go from concept to market with many prototype iterations along the way. The road has been a long one because we have been relentless in our commitment to develop the finest skate on the planet -- one that is far superior to traditional inlines."

The skate industry has been in decline for much of the past decade, in part due to a lack of innovation. LandRoller's revolutionary patented skate technology provides better maneuverability, stability, braking, a smoother ride, and multi-surface capabilities. Many believe that LandRollers will revitalize the skate category just as inlines did 25 years ago. Conners commented, "Forming our company and developing our radical skates has been great fun for us. We get great pleasure seeing the smiles every time someone dons LandRollers for the first time. Novices and experienced skaters alike enjoy a better experience."

Over 1,000 members of the sports media were asked to cast their votes for the best sports product for 2005. In speaking about the award, the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) President Tom Cove said, "This program is a great way to recognize and honor the entrepreneurial spirit in the sports industry. The people who work in product development are key contributors to this industry. Without their innovative thinking, the sports products industry would lack the annual introduction of new products."
