ERIK
VAN DER PALEN, Director of Design, is a graduate of the apprentice program of Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart, Germany, and the Industrial Design School at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif. Dutch-born Van der Palen came to America to work for the noted futurist, Syd Mead, and has since accumulated more than 20 years of industrial design experience, with clients ranging from individual inventors to Hilton Hotels, Princess Cruise Line and noted architectural firms.
Prior to joining LandRoller, Van der Palen was part of a select design team at the Walt Disney Company expanding the Tokyo and Orlando Disneyland facilities. Van der Palen is a recognized world-class craftsman, a lifelong skater and a restorer of classic California architecture.
